Our History

One of the Washington area's premier moving and storage companies, Matthew Moving Company was founded by Matthew N. Rebro, Jr., in 1967. Our corporate headquarters is located on I-270 in Clarksburg, Maryland, and Mr. Rebro continues to be President and CEO of the firm today. Our service area includes Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland. In 1996, we expanded our storage facilities and offices to a new building on the site. The new warehouse and office complex are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allowing us to use the most modern storage and warehousing procedures. Our employees are our most important assets. Many of them have been with Matthew Moving for more than 15 years. Concern for our customers, good employee relations and maintaining a solid reputation in the community have been the foundation for our success. Matthew serves thousands of satisfied customers each year including hundreds of U.S. Government employees and military families.
